Township Developers Announce New Phased Residential Projects to Support Dholera Workforce
Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), Gujarat — Township developers and government agencies have unveiled a series of phased residential and integrated housing projects aimed at accommodating the rapidly growing workforce moving into the smart city as industrial investment accelerates.
The GAP Group has launched its flagship Akhilam Integrated Township, a ₹2,000-crore mixed-use development designed with international architectural expertise and planned in multiple phases. The first phase includes approximately 1,000 studio apartments, with further stages of residential and commercial infrastructure scheduled through 2029.
In parallel, the Government of Gujarat has facilitated the development of 1,500 serviced apartments within the DSIR to support employees linked to large projects such as the Tata semiconductor facility. Of these, around 275 units are already completed and occupied, with an additional 225 nearing occupancy and further phases of 1,000 units under construction and slated for completion in early 2026.
The Tata Group itself has also been allotted land to construct 530 apartments, focused on housing its project workforce by mid-2027. These initiatives reflect coordinated efforts by public and private stakeholders to provide quality housing for professionals, skilled workers, and their families relocating to Dholera.
Additional residential developments — including planned plot townships and gated neighborhoods — are also responding to rising demand from long-term investors and potential residents as the region transitions from industrial planning toward a fully integrated urban environment.
