Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027: Gujarat Launches Investment Outreach Across 22 Countries; Dholera Among Key Industrial Hubs
Gujarat has started a global investment outreach ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, with delegations visiting 22 countries and roadshows in eight Indian cities. Dholera and the Tata Electronics semiconductor fab feature among the state’s highlighted strengths.
The Government of Gujarat has launched an international investment outreach campaign ahead of the 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS 2027), with Dholera listed among the state’s key industrial parks and corridors. During October and November 2026, high-level delegations will travel to 22 countries, while investor roadshows will be held in eight Indian cities.
The summit is scheduled for January 10–12, 2027, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, under the theme “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future.” The Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) of the Government of Gujarat is the nodal agency for the event.
The countries on the outreach schedule are Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Russia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique. In each country, delegations will hold sector-specific roundtables and one-on-one meetings with companies, institutional investors and industry bodies, and will invite business leaders to attend the summit in January. Engagement is also planned with government agencies, chambers of commerce, trade associations, innovation ecosystems and the Indian diaspora. The state has pointed to India’s Free Trade Agreements with the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the EFTA nations and the European Union as new avenues for trade and investment.
Within India, roadshows will be held in Guwahati, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur, targeting Indian and multinational companies based in those regions.
The current campaign follows an earlier phase that began in August 2026, when Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led a delegation to the United States and Canada. The delegation met technology leaders, investors and industry bodies in San Francisco, Washington DC and Toronto. A curtain-raiser for the summit was held in New Delhi on August 30, where the Chief Minister said VGGS 2027 would support all seven streams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sapta-Dhara vision. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said at the event that Gujarat has become a preferred choice for investors in sectors ranging from semiconductors to ports.
The Gujarat government has identified six priority sunrise sectors for the summit: semiconductors, artificial intelligence, fintech, the green energy ecosystem, data centres and space technology. Among the state’s advantages, the outreach material lists India’s largest port capacity, industrial parks and corridors including the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Dholera, GIFT City as India’s international financial services hub, a growing semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, leadership in renewable energy, and single-window governance for investors.
Dholera’s role is most visible in the semiconductor sector. The state describes Gujarat as India’s busiest semiconductor cluster, and notes that Tata Electronics is building India’s first commercial semiconductor fab at Dholera in partnership with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC), with Dutch company ASML as an equipment and technology partner. Other semiconductor projects in the state include Micron’s assembly and test facility, inaugurated in February, the Kaynes Semicon OSAT unit, which opened in March, and the CG Power–Renesas OSAT project, which is under way.
A stated aim of VGGS 2027 is to turn anchor investments into complete ecosystems by attracting suppliers, technology partners and skilled talent. For Dholera, this is relevant because several supply-chain companies have already announced plans or MoUs linked to the Tata fab, and the summit is expected to be a platform for further investment discussions. Any new commitments for Dholera will become clear only once agreements are announced at or around the summit.
The state’s renewable energy base was also highlighted in the outreach. The Khavda renewable energy park in Kutch, spread over more than 72,000 hectares, is planned for a 37 GW solar-wind hybrid capacity. Citing MNRE data, the state government said Gujarat’s installed renewable energy capacity stands at 52.61 GW, about 18 percent of India’s total.
