Dholera is set to become a major milestone in India’s semiconductor journey as Tata Electronics develops the country’s first commercial semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The project is being developed in partnership with Taiwan’s PSMC and is expected to have a monthly production capacity of 50,000 wafers. The fab will focus on 28nm to 110nm chip technologies for sectors such as automotive, mobile devices, artificial intelligence, communications, and electronics.

Recently, Tata Electronics also partnered with ASML to support the project with advanced lithography tools, talent development, and supply chain support. This development strengthens Dholera’s position as one of India’s most important upcoming technology and manufacturing hubs.

With large-scale investment, global technology partnerships, and strong government support, the semiconductor fab is expected to boost employment, industrial growth, and long-term economic development in the Dholera Special Investment Region.
